Certain projects require more precision than others. At CSC Force Measurement, we sell a series of adjustable torque screwdrivers, wrenches, and interchangeable tools designed to support even the most demanding work. The Tohnichi adjustable torque wrench, adjustable torque screwdriver, and other handheld tools offer many features that can be helpful in the workplace. Each device includes a certificate of calibration, which can be provided at the time of purchase in the form of an ISO 17025 calibration certificate. These tools can be used internationally, including the EU region, with SI, Metric, and American units, and are compliant with calibration procedures ISO 6789 Type II, Class D.
Tohnichi Adjustable Torque Screwdriver
Available in a wide range of sizes and types, depending on the needs of the end-user, Tohnichi handheld tools offer capacities for their adjustable torque screwdriver series that can range from 0.2 lbF.in for the AMLD/BMLD Adjustable Type Torque Screwdriver on up to 40 lbF.in for the RTD Adjustable Torque Screwdriver model. The AMLD/BMLD screwdriver is perfect for precision tightening of small screws, and torque can easily be set simply by twisting the body of the tool to adjust the value. The RTD features a rotary slip mechanism, which makes it ideal for various jobs by allowing for an easy change of torque setting and has a toggle clutch torque mechanism for enhanced durability.
The AMLD/BMLD adjustable torque screwdriver does not feature the rotary slip mechanism that is found in the RTD model. The user will sense that the desired torque setting has been achieved, but more torque will be applied if they continue to apply additional torque. With the RTD model, once the user senses that the desired torque has been achieved, they will hear an audible click that advises them to stop turning. However, if the user continues to turn, the rotary slip mechanism will ratchet the driver without applying any additional torque. This can be helpful in work situations when too much torque is regularly applied or where workers may not be able to properly sense that the proper torque has been achieved due to the surrounding environment or other work conditions.
Tohnichi Adjustable Torque Wrench
There is also a wide range of options for those who require an adjustable torque wrench in the workplace. Similar to the adjustable torque screwdriver options, there are different sizes, types, and ranges of capacities available with this line of wrenches from Tohnichi. Interchangeable heads, over-torque prevention, and specialty design options can be selected, depending on your needs. For example, the Tohnichi QL/QLE Adjustable Click Type Torque Wrench has a capacity that ranges from 3 to 750 lbF.in and can be used in a variety of tightening torque applications. This model is a torque error-proofing wrench and features a toggle clutch torque mechanism, which is designed to prevent over-tightening on the job site.
One of the other many options available includes the DB/DBE/DBR Series Dial Indicating Torque Wrench from Tohnichi, which has a capacity that ranges from 0 to 600 lbF.in and offers a wide range and high accuracy dial indicating feature, which is ideal for torque quality inspections. An easy-to-read dial face makes it simple for the operator to use while offering consistent accuracy, regardless of how the tool is used during operation. The dial face has a memory pointer that is designed to stay on peak torque for a convenient reference, and the DBE version features an extension handle for hard-to-reach applications.
