Chatillon Force Measurement Equipment

One of our more popular items in the category of mechanical force gauges is the Chatillon DG Series. Used for a wide range of force testing applications up to 500 lbF (2.5 kN), the design of these gauges is based on the popular Chatillon DPPH Series force gauge. The DG Series features a much larger 2.25 inch dial, which has been designed to improve resolution and readability. It also provides the operator with a peak hold button, a more durable plastic housing, a universal mounting plate, an ergonomic shape, and an improved accuracy of +0.5 percent of full scale. Customers who are looking for a quality, yet an economical solution, for tensile or compression testing, will appreciate the value and dependability of these Chatillon force gauges.

Extremely versatile in a variety of testing environments, these analog force gauges can be used as a handheld device and can be equipped with an optional handle set to allow for simple two-hand operations. The DG Series is also ideal for test stand applications when used in combination with the MT500 Series mechanical test stand. It provides a very versatile, economical testing system with a capacity range from 200 lbF on up to 500 lbF. Other features include a very easy to read concentrical dial, which provides in a clock-wise only reading, and a dial that rotates 360-degrees for taring. The peak hold switch feature captures peak readings and can be easily and quickly returned to zero for rapid, repeatable testing. The mechanical overload feature protects that gauge from damage during testing.
