The Mark-10 Series 7 Digital Force Gauge is the professional version of all the Series Force Gauges. This gauge is designed to handle demanding tension and compression measurement applications up to 500lbF (2500N) capacity. The Series 7 is like the Series 5 with some added features. Series 7 force gauges are directly compatible with Mark-10 test stands including the Mark-10 ESM301/ESM301L.

Description

Series 7 professional digital force gauges are designed with a number of sophisticated features for the most demanding tension and compression measurement applications, up to 500 lbF (2500 N). The gauges feature ±0.1% accuracy and a blazingly fast, industry-leading sampling rate of 14,000 Hz, producing reliable results for extremely quick-action tests.

Series 7 gauges include all the functions of Series 5 gauges, with several additional features, including high speed continuous data capture and storage, with memory for up to 5,000 readings, at an acquisition rate of up to 14,000 Hz. The gauges also feature programmable footswitch sequencing, break detection, and 1st / 2nd peak detection. Series 7 includes a coefficient of friction unit of measurement and user-defined unit of measurement. For productivity enhancement, the gauges also feature automatic data output, data storage, and zeroing functions upon the completion of break detection, averaging, external trigger, and 1st / 2nd peak detection.

Series 7 force gauges are directly compatible with Mark-10 test stands, including the ESM303, to permit functions such as break testing, tensile testing, compression testing, dynamic load holding, PC control capability, and many other applications.

The gauges include MESUR™ Lite data acquisition software. MESUR™ Lite tabulates continuous or single point data. One-click export to Excel allows for further data manipulation.

Specialized Gauge Functions:

~ High Speed Data Capture & Storage

The Series 7 can capture & store up to 5,000 data points at a rate of 14,000 readings per second. This function is perfect for capturing switch activation forces, sharp breaks and other short-duration applications. Configurable start and stop triggers are provided. The data acquisition rate can be varied depending on the event. It can be slowed to capture long events such as structure relaxation, material expansion as well as other applications. The data stored on the gauge can be exported to data collection software like MESURgauge. Use of the Series 7 Digital Force Gauge can eliminate cumbersome and expensive data acquisition hardware/software.

~ Footswitch Command String

The user can integrate the Series 7 with the footswitch/automation system which improves testing ergonomics and efficiency. By doing this there is no need for multiple key presses. Up to three steps can be programmed for a single footswitch activation. There are several commands that the user can choose from. For example zero the display, save to memory and request peak reading. Also time delays can be placed in between each step if needed.

~ Automatic Data Output / Save / Zero / I/O Pin Toggle

Automatic Data Output allows for the Series 7 to be able to perform the following functions once several event types have been completed:

A.) Save the peak reading to memory.

B.) Transmit the peak reading via USB, RS-232, or Mitutoyo output

C.) Zero the display

D.) Toggle an I/O pin (example: stop movement of an ESM301/ESM301L test stand)

Some of the applicable events the Series 7 have to complete are: 1. Sample break detection, 2. Completion of an averaging sequence, 3. External Trigger (example: switch activation), and 4. First and Second peak capture (example: tensile testing).

The Series 7 gauge has 6 standard units of measurement with one additional unit that allows for unique applications.

Typical Applications:

1. Measuring torque produced by pressing a level in a mechanical assembly then configuring the multiplier based on the length of the lever therefore results in converting a unit. (example: N into Ncm)

2. Measuring pressure produced by a circular compression plate on a foam sample then configuring the multiplier based on the area of the plate therefore results in a conversion of a unit. (example: lbF into psi)

**All models come with a 110V AC adapters. If a different adapter is need please be sure to specify which one. {‘E’ for euro plug (220V),‘U’ for UK plug (220V) or ‘A’ for Australian plug (220V).}
