Description

The Mark-10 TSTM-DC Advanced Motorized Torque Test Stand features expanded capabilities beyond the TSTM motorized test stand. It offers all of the standard mechanical specifications of the TSTM, such as versatile modular design, 100 lbFin [11.3 Nm] torque capacity, and quick engagement and disengagement of samples. It also includes a stepper motor design that works to prevent speed variation with load and a fixture mounting plate.

The advantage lies in the controller. This advanced version also features full PC control, programmable cycling and angle limits, auto-return, and other enhanced features. Digital angle indication, overload protection, programmable button functions, and independent CW and CCW speeds are also available with this model. The Mark-10 TSTM-DC Advanced Motorized Torque Test Stand also uses password protection to prevent unauthorized changes to the test parameters.

Standard features of the Mark-10 TSTM-DC Advanced Motorized Torque Test Stand include:

  • Digital display of angle
  • Programmable angle limits
  • Universal power supply
  • Includes DC controller, controller connection cable, mounting kit, tool kit, and more

Controller features of the Mark-10 TSTM-DC Advanced Motorized Torque Test Stand include:

  • Full Computer Control – A bi-directional RS-232 port is provided to interface with the PC; a command set for full control; Model 7i or 5i force/torque gauge, 09-1056 serial cable, and 09-1162 multi-function cable are required with PC control
  • Programmable Angle Limits – The ability to stop at or cycle between the programmable upper and lower angle limits is available; programmable in either degrees or revolutions for simple customization
  • Overload Protection – Works to protect the torque sensor against overload using a Model 7i or 5i force/torque gauge and cable; the user can program the desired percentage of full scale for the sensor
  • Auto-Return – Create a torque set point or angle limit for the rotation of the torque table using the Model 7i or 5i force/torque gauge; can also stop or reverse direction at full-speed to the other torque set point or angle limit
  • Cycling/Dwell Time – Similar to the auto-return feature, but allows for cycles to be programmed up to 100,000; allows the operator to also specify the length of time – up to 10,000 seconds; programming of independent CW and CCW speeds is available
  • Programmable Button Functions – Momentary motion, maintained motion, or auto options available for CW and CCW buttons
  • Independent CW and CCW Speeds – Configurable speeds for CW and CCW directions with selectable speed units of measurement at RPM and °/s
  • Password Protection – Used to prevent unauthorized changes to the test parameters during the testing process

Hardware options for the Mark-10 TSTM-DC Advanced Motorized Torque Test Stand include:

  • Optional upgrade to 200 lbFin [22 Nm] capacity and 60 RPM maximum speed
  • Series R50 universal torque sensors – directly mounted to the stand with 6 capacities
  • Model MR55-200 torque sensor – 200 lbFin [22 Nm] capacity; mounts with additional adapter and force/torque indicators
  • basic and advanced force and torque indicators for displaying torque values measured by the R50 torque sensor
  • multi-function cable, gauge to controller – connects indicator to controller to transmit set points, overload signals, and torque data
  • RS-232 to USB adapter – converts RS-232 to USB output; includes USB cable and installation CD; serial cable for controller to PC also available for data output
  • Digital Angle Indicator – displays CW or CCW angle in 0.1° resolution for approximately 278 rotations
  • horizontal/wall mounting kit – pair of mounting legs for adapting to a bench instead of the base
  • variety of grips and attachments to allow for axial movement in testing applications
  • axial compensator to allow for axial movement in torque testing applications
  • column extension – the column can be extended to custom lengths
